I know that even if you're the 'innocent' party in a car accident, it usually costs you a lot too. You never get enough for a brandnew car as the damaged one is only worth half or even less.

Glad to hear you found a nice brandnew car. My first car was a bright green Corolla 1200 with red stripes on the side - that was in '86 and the car was then at least 10 years old. It got totalled in 'Schrottgasse' (s.rap road) in Vienna. My sister got injured in the accident (concussion) - she was driving the car but it wasn't her fault another young woman didn't give way as it would have been for her to do.
